A thousand million thank you's
Hi Fight Like Mike army,
I wanted to send a quick Thank you. Last weekend proved to be one of the best weekends of our lives. It was able to happen because you all showed up for us yet again. Whether you were at the Winship 5k, the Share Love field day, or with us in spirit we felt your love stronger than ever. There are so many moments I want to write down, share and remember but currently the kids have fall break and are not making that possible.
I will share that Mike’s Bone marrow transplant donor, Michael Martin , and his parents ( Kim and Fran Martin) were able to fly in from China and Arizona to surprise Mike. It was a miraculous moment from God that I have prayed for from the day we found out Mike would have a transplant. I still can’t believe it happened. I do know that as Mike showed him on his counter on his phone, He has been our greatest gift for 1070 days and counting. They are the kindest people and showered us with love. His dad shared these pics with me.More to come.
I really do not have words to describe the depth of gratitude, love, and hope the weekend left me with.
I can only give thanks to God. This weekend was only something that could be pulled off by a greater power and spirit. And all of his angels( you) here on earth who made ALL of the stars align to make the most perfect weekend.
Mike and I will never forget what you all have done for us, It is forever embedded our hearts.
We have been given a new hope for whatever is around the corner next in this fight.
Because of YOU, we raised a HECK OF A LOT OF MONEY for blood cancers, research, and support for families, patients and nurses. THANK YOU.
