FIELD DAY !

Less than a month! This morning, Kirby texted me the words below that she posted to facebook. I asked if I could share them here too. I thought about Mike's favorite quote.

"It’s not whether you get knocked down, it’s whether you get up." — Vince Lombardi

or the saying..." You get bitter or better."

How can we keep getting up , how can we do better, and not be bitter?

We do it together. We help each other. We love each other .

We need each other and the reminders to keep getting up and keep swimming.

This is how we have hope in a better more loving world.

Dear Friends and family,

This fundraiser is deeply personal and incredibly special. Kevin and Mike were best friends since their years at Auburn. The Fight Like Mike Foundation was born during Mike’s courageous battle with leukemia, and none of us could have imagined how it would one day come full circle—not only supporting our own family but also lifting up countless others walking this same, unimaginably difficult path.

Every dollar raised makes a difference. It goes directly to patients—whether it’s the comfort of a t-shirt and a hug, a safe apartment in Augusta for bone marrow transplant patients, or direct financial help for families fighting cancer or grieving the loss of a loved one.

We believe Kevin and Mike are together now, smiling down, proud that their fight and their friendship continue to inspire good in this world. Their legacy is hope, love, and strength—and with your support, it lives on.
