FLM Friday

Fight like Mike Friday.
Over fall break the kids and I went to see the brick donated in memory of Mike, given by my friend Drew during covid. We are going in so many seperate directions right now and I was grateful for this space to ground us , if if only for ten minutes...maybe they gave me 30 before begging to leave and go to race track for icees and hotdogs.
Like I said in my previous post, life is full and feels overhwleming right now. Joyful and really hard moments from 1 hour to the next. A frightening and exhilerating rollercoaster. And some days I don't have the stomach for it. Mike and I would sit out here to catch our breath or calm my nervous stomach during the rollercoaster of his diagnosis and throw countless pennies full of wishes of hope and healing and peace on this journey. I am not sure what the kids wished for this morning .. probably a nicer and less strict mom. But I know I wished for just enough courage and light for the next step.
I keep trying to slow down. The way Mike and I would when we would sit in this garden and rest. I wish that for you this weekend and the days leading into this chaotic and beautiful season. A moment to feel the warmth of the sun, a moment to breathe. A moment to remeber you only need enough light and courage for tjut the next step.
If you haven't purchased your t-shirts you still have this weekend! I am placing the order on Monday.
Sending so much love to all of you!!
Keep swimming!
Lindsey
